Soil Testing & Amendment
Most lawn problems start in the soil, not the grass. A test tells you what it's short of, so every dollar after that lands where it counts.
- Know exactly what your soil needs
- Amend precisely — no wasted product
- A Lawn Health Report you can keep
What we actually take
Five to eight sample spots across the yard — front, back, sides, sun and shade. Each one brushed clear of thatch and dug to the root zone, five to ten centimetres down. Problem areas get bagged separately.
We don't sample within a week of a treatment, because the result would be reading the product, not the soil.
A pH probe is not a soil test
A probe reads one spot, in water. The lab panel reads pH in water and in calcium chloride, plus EC, CEC, exchangeable sodium and eleven nutrients across a properly mixed sample. The samples go to CSBP in Bibra Lake, which is NATA-accredited.
You get a quick on-site read on the day. That is today's quick read — your full lab analysis is in the post, it may revise what's on the page, and we'll walk you through it when it lands.
Then we amend it
Gypsum, nutrients, pH — based on the numbers, not a guess. Gypsum is $3 a square metre for one-off customers.

Not happy? We come back and fix it — free.
We'd rather earn the next visit than argue about the last one. It's an extra promise on top of the rights you already have — our way of saying we back the work.
