The prep is the job
Turf laid on ground that wasn't prepared looks brilliant for three weeks and then goes patchy. We level the ground, get the base right and lay it tight so the roots go down instead of sitting on top.
We match the variety to your yard — how much sun it gets, what the soil is like, whether kids and dogs are going to live on it.
Prefer to lay it yourself?
We can supply quality turf to your door and tell you exactly how to do it right. Under a pallet, delivery is $150 and we batch it with other drops. A pallet or more and the farm delivers it straight to you.
Looking after it in the first month
Keep it consistently moist for the first two to three weeks. In Townsville that means two to four light waterings a day, depending on the weather. From about week three, as the roots take hold, ease back to fewer, deeper soaks.
Stay off it for two to three weeks. Don't mow it until it doesn't lift when you tug it — usually about three weeks. It gets a starter feed on the day, and it'll want a proper feed at six to eight weeks.
